The people behind BBC Dragons’ Den success, Magic Blackout Blind have launched a new book, Diary of a Sleep Deprived Mum, written by a mum, inspired by mums and aimed at every parent suffering at the sharp end of sleep deprivation!
Deliberately non-preachy, it is a hilarious combination of information, anecdotes, advice and tips for attaining every parent’s ultimate goal – getting more sleep. The book provides sleep tips by real mums – the opposite to Gina Nina and helps parents to realise that they are not alone at this time.
Author Claire Evans (39) is a mum to Caleb (6 years old) and married to husband Gareth. This diary is based on Claire’s experience of managing sleep deprivation and stories of how her friends have dealt with the sleep issue.
Neil and Laura Westwood successfully appeared on BBC’s Dragon’s Den back in 2008 gaining £100,000 financial support from both Deborah Meaden and Theo Paphitis. They are Theo Paphitis’ most successful and profitable investment.
Last year Neil and Laura launched the Magic Blackout Blind which can be used to blackout windows allowing people to get a good night’s sleep during the lighter summer months or if your bedroom faces glaring street lights in the city. It has proven hugely popular with parents of young families and an ideal companion for the new book: Diary of a Sleep Deprived Mum.
