Helping parents choose the right school

ISBI Schools

ISBI SchoolsChoosing a school for your child is probably one of the most important decisions you will make (and potentially one of the biggest financial investments). The process of choosing the right school can often be a daunting task.

Isbi helps parents through this process. Their website www.isbi.com offers the most comprehensive search facility for independent, special, boarding and international schools on the internet today. The services they offer are free to parents.

They help parents find the information they need to make a well informed shortlist of schools to visit and they offer advice on choosing a school and on what to consider when visiting the schools on the shortlist.

Pat Carter established isbi schools in 1987 and it is still a small family run company, based in the owner’s home, Tilshead House on Salisbury plain. As a young army officer with the remit of offering advice on boarding schools to service families and in awe of the ‘magic’ of the new microcomputers, he grabbed the opportunity to use that magic to translate the existing old fashioned card index system into a database. Initially distributed to parents in the form of a floppy disc, this was how ‘isbi schools’ was born.

This year isbi celebrates 25 years of providing parents with valuable information on choosing a school for their children. To mark the occasion they revamped their entire website, offering even more information and advice in a modern easy to navigate format.
